Why does my site look different in different browsers?
A "browser" is software that allows you to access the World Wide Web. The most popular browsers are Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Netscape Browser, AOL and Apple's Safari. Different browsers will display web pages in similar, but not identical ways.
Below are screen shots showing how different browsers view the same page. Look for differences in how elements interact and how transparent drop shadows are handled by older browsers.
