Blogs are a fairly new trend in web creation and have been tremendously popular. The main draw is that anyone can have their own space to comment, gripe, discuss and document while having no web editing skills at all. You simply log into an area that houses your blog with a user name and password and then go to town! Many blog systems enable an administrator to have multiple "bloggers" that are restricted to their own areas. Or allow the public to create user names and passwords for their own contributions
Most blogs are set up within a web site, as their own section, others are web sites comprised of only blogs. They can have the same style as the web site as a seamless integration or designed to stand out.
There are many blog companies out there, and you can find anything from personal free blog space to paid company space with storage, pod cast capabilities and video sharing.
